Montville Rising is a non-partisan community organization welcoming all dedicated to democracy and defense of the Constitution. We turn shared concern into visible, collective action by peaceful, nonviolent protest, civic engagement, and community events.
Visibility Brigade — Mission Statement
The Visibility Brigade is a grassroots, non-partisan, volunteer group dedicated to preserving our democracy. We mobilize our neighbors by visually displaying messages in high-traffic spaces, such as highway overpasses, that address the crisis facing our nation. We disrupt apathy, spark public discourse, and defend democratic values. We transition people from passive observers to active participants who advocate for a better society.

Why We Protest
People sometimes ask why we stand on the bridge every week. The answer is simple: we love this country, and we love democracy — and we believe both are under assault. We show up because staying silent isn’t an option when the values that hold a democracy together are being tested. Standing together, visibly and peacefully, is how we say that we’re paying attention, that we care, and that we’re not going anywhere.
