Who We Are
Montville Rising is a local community activist group dedicated to civic engagement, protecting democratic values, and building a more informed and involved community. Through education and grassroots action, we create opportunities for people to learn about the issues that affect them, make their voices heard, and get involved. We also work closely with the Montville chapter of the Visibility Brigade to bring peaceful, pro-democracy messages into public spaces and encourage greater civic participation.

Montville Visibility Brigade — Mission Statement
Montville Visibility Brigade is a local chapter of the national Visibility Brigade movement, dedicated to defending democracy through visible, nonviolent public messaging. We mobilize our neighbors, disrupt apathy, spark conversation, and inspire people to become active participants in protecting our democracy.

Why We Protest
People sometimes ask why we stand on the bridge every week. The answer is simple: we love this country, we believe in democracy, and we believe it is under threat.
We show up because silence isn’t an option. By standing together, visibly and peacefully, we remind our neighbors they are not alone—that people in their own community are paying attention, speaking up, and standing up for our democracy.
