No Kings 3 — 3/28/2026
On 3/28/2026 Montville was one of over 3000 demonstrations across the country to protest the actions of the Trump Administration. Over 200 people gathered to show their love for this country.
A Win for Montville — Policy 7523 Withdrawn (May 2026)
The Montville Township Board of Education withdrew the second reading of proposed Policy 7523 — a sweeping restriction that would have prohibited district signage from acknowledging holidays, civic observances, heritage and recognition months, and PTSA fundraising messages.
In just over a week, 446 Montville residents signed a petition asking the Board to withdraw the policy. On April 28, the Board had advanced it to a second reading on a 5–4 vote despite no member of the public and no district administrator speaking in support. Residents signed, spoke up, and prepared to speak again at the May 12 meeting — and the Board withdrew the second reading before that vote could happen.
